About these calculators
Every marketplace takes a cut, and the cut is rarely just one number. There is a commission, a payment processing fee, sometimes a fixed fee per order and sometimes extras like boosting. These reseller fee calculators share one fee engine and one set of rates, so each platform page works the same way. Enter a sale price, shipping and item cost, and you get an itemized list of fees, your net payout, your profit, your margin and your effective fee rate. A target profit box finds the price you should list at.
Rates snapshot
Headline fees as of October 11, 2026. Each platform page lists the exact source and a "to verify" note.

| Whatnot | 8% (4% Coins), lower with 28-day sales | 2.9% + $0.30 |
| Depop (US) | 0% selling fee, optional 12% boost | 3.3% + $0.45 |
| Grailed | 9% from $120, 6% under (min $1.99) | 3.49% + $0.49 |
| Mercari | 10% of item + buyer shipping | None for sellers |
| Poshmark | 20%, or $2.95 flat under $15 | None reported |

How to compare platforms
Run the same item through two or three calculators. The headline commission is not the whole story, because a small flat fee hurts cheap items and a percentage hurts expensive ones. Compare the effective fee rate on each page, then compare profit, not just payout, because shipping rules differ. Poshmark buyers pay a prepaid label, Mercari charges its fee on buyer-paid shipping, and Whatnot and Depop charge processing on shipping and tax.
Why the rates are marked "as of"
Marketplaces change fees without much warning. Whatnot moved to a tiered structure on September 21, 2026, and Grailed added a reduced rate for cheaper sales in May 2026. All rates in these tools live in one config object, with an as-of date, a source link and a list of things to verify on each page. If you spot a mismatch with your own payout, trust the platform and use the contact page to tell us.
Things to watch out for
These are estimates. They do not include income tax, sales tax you owe, returns, chargebacks, packaging, listing tools or promotions. They are for planning prices, not for bookkeeping. Related: the percentage calculator and the percent change calculator.
Frequently asked questions
It depends on the price and shipping. Depop has no US selling fee but charges 3.3% + $0.45 processing, and Mercari charges 10% with no seller processing fee. Run your item through each calculator and compare the effective fee rate.
Often. That is why every page shows an as-of date, a source link and a list of items to verify before you price.
No. Everything runs in your browser. The 3D print calculator can save a printer profile in your own browser storage if you choose, and nothing is uploaded.
Authors who self-publish are also sellers with fees and costs. The KDP page uses the same engine and shows royalty, cost and margin.
