About this tool
This Depop fee calculator is built for US sellers. Depop removed its selling fee for sellers in the US, UK and Australia, so what is left is payment processing and, if you use it, the Boosted Listing fee. Enter your sale price, shipping and item cost to see your net payout, profit, margin and effective fee rate in one table.
Because the processing fee is charged on the item price plus shipping and tax, shipping you charge the buyer is not free money. It raises the base the fee is taken from. The calculator handles that for you and lets you add the buyer's sales tax if you want an exact figure.
How to use it
- Enter the item price and the shipping your buyer pays.
- Enter the shipping you pay and the cost of the item.
- Tick the boost box if the sale came through a Boosted Listing.
- Read the net payout, profit and margin, or set a target profit to find your listing price.
How Depop fees work in the US
There are three possible charges. The selling fee is 0% for US sellers. Payment processing is taken by Stripe through Depop Payments. The Boosted Listing fee is optional and is only charged when a sale comes through a boosted listing.
| Fee | US rate | Charged on |
|---|---|---|
| Depop selling fee | 0% | Not charged to sellers in the US, UK or Australia |
| Payment processing | 3.3% + $0.45 | Item price + shipping + taxes |
| Boosted Listing fee (optional) | 12% | Item price, when the sale comes through a boosted listing |
Worked example
A $50 jacket sells with $8 buyer-paid shipping, $8 real shipping and a $15 item cost, with no boost.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Item price | $50.00 |
| Shipping paid by buyer | $8.00 |
| Depop selling fee (0%) | -$0.00 |
| Payment processing (3.3% + $0.45) | -$2.36 |
| Net payout | $55.64 |
| Shipping you pay | -$8.00 |
| Item cost | -$15.00 |
| Profit | $32.64 |
That is a margin of 56.3% and an effective fee rate of 4.1% of everything the buyer pays you.
Keeping more of each Depop sale
With no selling fee, Depop is cheap compared with most marketplaces, and the fixed $0.45 matters most on small items. A $10 sale loses about 8% to processing, while a $100 sale loses closer to 3.8%. Boosting can bring more views, but a 12% fee on top of processing cuts deeply into thin margins: on the example sale the boosted version leaves $26.64 profit instead of $32.64. Only boost items with enough margin to absorb it.
Rates and what to verify
These rates were checked on October 11, 2026 against the platform's own fee page: official source. Marketplaces change fees often, and the numbers in this tool live in one place so they can be updated quickly. Treat every result as an estimate and compare it with your own payout before you price a big order.
- TO VERIFY: The Boosted Listing fee is marked 12% for new listings from March 23, 2026. Older listings and some third-party guides show different rates (8% in one), so confirm the rate on your own listing.
- TO VERIFY: The processing fee applies to Depop Payments for US sellers and is charged on the item price plus shipping and any taxes.
- TO VERIFY: Depop's help center pages are written for the UK site. The US selling-fee and processing figures come from the US section of the Seller fees and charges article.
Things to watch out for
Fee details can differ by account and by listing date, and Depop's help center pages are written mainly for the UK site. Treat the boost rate as the most likely number to be out of date. If your payout does not match the estimate, compare it line by line with the fees shown in your Depop sales history. Selling on other apps? See the full set of reseller fee calculators.
