CALCULATOR TOOL

TCGplayer Fee Calculator

See what you keep from a TCGplayer sale after commission, Pro fee and the transaction fee.

About this tool

This TCGplayer fee calculator is built for card sellers. Enter the card price, how many cards are in the order, the shipping and your cost, and it shows the marketplace commission, the Pro fee if you have one, the per-item $75 cap and the transaction fee, along with your payout, profit, margin and effective fee rate. Few fee calculators cover TCGplayer, which is why this page exists.

How to use it

  1. Choose your seller type: Level 1 to 4, Pro, or inventory sync.
  2. Enter the price of one card and the number of cards in the order.
  3. Enter the shipping the buyer pays and the shipping you pay.
  4. Add your cost per card and read the payout, profit and margin.

How TCGplayer fees work

TCGplayer charges three layers. The marketplace commission is a percentage of each item sold. Pro sellers pay an additional Pro fee. Both are capped at $75 per item. Then a transaction fee of 2.5% + $0.30 is charged on the order total, including shipping and tax. The table shows the seller types supported here.

Seller typeCommissionPro feeTransaction fee
Marketplace seller, Level 1 to 410.75%None2.5% + $0.30
Marketplace seller, Pro9.25%2.5%2.5% + $0.30
Marketplace seller with inventory sync9.25%None2.5% + $0.30

Worked example

A $40 card sells in a one-card order with $1.50 buyer-paid shipping, $1.50 real postage and a $15 card cost, from a Level 1 to 4 seller.

LineAmount
Item price$40.00
Shipping paid by buyer$1.50
Marketplace commission (10.75%)-$4.30
Transaction fee (2.5% + $0.30)-$1.34
Net payout$35.86
Shipping you pay-$1.50
Item cost-$15.00
Profit$19.36

That is a margin of 46.7% and an effective fee rate of 13.6% of everything the buyer pays you.

Selling cheap cards profitably

The fixed $0.30 per order is what makes bulk and low-value cards hard. A single $1 card with $1.50 shipping loses most of its price to fees, but the same card in a ten-card order pays the $0.30 only once. Use the card count field to see how combining orders changes your margin. On the example sale, a 1-card $40.00 order pays $5.64 in fees.

Rates and what to verify

These rates were checked on October 11, 2026 against the platform's own fee page: official source. Marketplaces change fees often, and the numbers in this tool live in one place so they can be updated quickly. Treat every result as an estimate and compare it with your own payout before you price a big order.

Things to watch out for

The Direct fulfillment program has its own per-card fee that is not modeled here, and international sellers have different rates. Fees on very expensive cards stop growing once they hit the $75 cap, so for high-value singles the effective rate falls. Compare that with other marketplaces using the reseller fee calculators.

Frequently asked questions

How much does TCGplayer charge sellers?

The fee article lists a 10.75% marketplace commission for Level 1 to 4 sellers, 9.25% for Pro and sync sellers (Pro also pays a 2.5% Pro fee), plus a 2.5% + $0.30 transaction fee on each order.

Is there a cap on TCGplayer fees?

Yes. Marketplace commission and Pro fees are capped at $75 per product sold, and they are calculated per item sold, not per order.

Does the $0.30 apply to every card?

No. The transaction fee applies per transaction (one buyer, one seller and one shipping method). The $0.30 is charged once per order, which is why selling several cards in one order is cheaper per card.

Are these the final 2026 rates?

They match TCGplayer's fee article and seller blog: the Level 1 to 4 commission rose to 10.75% and the cap to $75 on February 10, 2026. The June 18, 2026 changes affect Direct orders only. Rates can change, so confirm on the official fee page.
